Shipping and Return Policy

 

This Shipping and Return Policy applies to all purchases made on https://jewelrydesignhouse.com.

Placing an Order

After placing an order, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have received your order. However, please note that this does not mean your order has been accepted. We will confirm our acceptance to you by sending you an email confirming that the product(s) have been dispatched (“Dispatch Confirmation”).

If for any reason we are unable to supply you with a product, we will inform you of this by email and we will not process your order. If you have already paid for the product(s), we will refund you the full amount, including any shipping fees charged, as soon as possible.

Pricing and Payment

Prices and shipping fees do not include import and customs duties, Value Added Taxes (“VAT”), tariffs, and other fees that may be levied by the destination country, all of which are the responsibility of the purchaser. Jewelry Design House is not responsible for brokerage fees, import and customs duties, Value Added Taxes (“VAT”), tariffs, or any other associated fees. VAT is not payable for orders placed from outside Canada.

You will be billed in Canadian Dollars. If transacting internationally, factors such as currency exchange fluctuations and credit card charges may impact the final amount billed to your credit card.

We accept payment via the payment methods displayed at Checkout. If payment cannot be completed for any reason (including, without limitation, stopped payment or refusal by the issuer of the card), the sale will be cancelled immediately, and you will be notified in writing.

Shipping

Shipping options will be displayed to you during the checkout process. 

Once the order is shipped (if applicable), you will receive confirmation and tracking information by email.

We will not be held responsible if the shipment is prevented or delayed by an event outside our control. However, we will act to minimize the effect of the delay where possible.

The product will be your responsibility from the time the product is delivered to the delivery address provided.

Please note that proof of identity (such as a passport or driving licence) and signature are required upon delivery to the shipping address.

We will repair or replace, free of charge (including costs of re-delivery) any products which are damaged or lost in transit, where delivery is made by our carrier, under the following conditions:

• you inform us within 24 hours of the delivery date, in the case of damage, and within 24 hours of the expected delivery date provided, in the case of loss;
• you provide any requested documents relating to the lost or damaged products and the original packaging for damaged products.

At Jewelry Design House, we offer:

• Free in-person pickup on all orders.
• Trackable shipping on all orders*. 
• *Shipping is free for all domestic orders above C$350.
• *Shipping fees for orders under C$350 will be calculated during checkout.
• *Shipping fees for US or international orders will be calculated during checkout.
  

Please allow 7 to 10 business days for production, as some pieces are made to order. Shipping times do not include production time.

Orders are processed, shipped and delivered Monday through Friday only. All orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or a national holiday will be processed the following business day.

Jewelry Design House will make the best efforts to deliver on time but cannot guarantee any time-sensitive requests.

Cancelling an Order

To cancel an order, please contact us as outlined in the section entitled “Contact Us”, providing your name and order number.

 

Return Policy

• We hope you are delighted with your Jewelry Design House piece. If, for any reason, you decide not to keep your purchase, we will accept products in their original condition for a full refund or exchange when accompanied by the original sales invoice within 15 days from the date of pick-up or delivery. 
• Returns or exchanges are not possible for products that are made to your specifications or that are personalized.
• We inspect all returned items to verify whether they are in the same condition as they were in when they were supplied. We cannot accept returns that have been worn, used, altered or damaged. We reserve the right to refuse the return of any item that does not meet the above return requirements according to our sole discretion.
• Refunds may only be issued by the method used for the initial payment.
• Jewelry Design House is not liable for any fee charged by your financial institution on the amount refunded.
• Shipping charges are non refundable.
• Sales taxes and import duties for orders shipped to/from countries other than Canada will not be refunded.
• Jewelry Design House will make deductions to the refund amount as follows: 

• To reflect any reduction in the value of the goods if they are not in the same condition as they were in when they were supplied;
• To reflect any loss or damage caused as a result of your failure to follow our Return Procedure.
• To cover the cost of the pre-paid shipping label provided to you by Jewelry Design House.

Return Procedure

Before returning the item(s), please contact our customer service team as outlined in the section entitled “Contact Us”, quoting your original order number and reason for return. 

 

To ensure a safe and secure return of the item, please follow the guidelines below:

• Replace your item(s) in its original packaging.
• Ensure to include all enclosures provided with the original order, including any certificate(s) of authenticity.
• Ensure that the package is well sealed.
• Print and attach the pre-paid Return Label provided by our Customer Service team. The cost of this shipping label will be deducted from your final refund amount.
• Arrange for courier pick-up or drop-off directly at a courier location near you.
• Obtain a receipt from the courier as proof of pick-up/drop-off.

If the above return procedure is not properly followed, Jewelry Design House will not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation if return packages are lost, stolen, or mishandled.

Ring Resizing

When purchasing one of our products, your first resize of the product is free of charge. Additional resizing will incur a fee. The fee varies depending on the materials used and the difference in size required.
